Chapter 2:A Day Off

It is only the second day of my new cafe but I'm not going in today, Shane is taking me out all day. We weren't going anywhere special, just to breakfast and then to do a little shopping for me, I was hoping for shoes because I needed a new pair.

"You look nice today" Shane said as he came downstairs "you always do."

"Thanks, you look pretty nice yourself for breakfast and shopping"

"Oh, well I decided to dress nice because we aren't coming home until late tonight."

"Why?"

"Because I am taking you out to Montana's for dinner" he said with a smile on his face. After I got dressed, again, we left for a late brunch. It was nice to be driven instead of driving. Once we got to the mall we went to eat, we were both starving. We ate at The Breakfast Counter, It is a nice little restaurant with great food.

"I love this restaurant" I said.

"I know, that is why I brought you here." For breakfast I had an omelet with orange juice and Shane had toast and coffee, such a party pooper always eating the same thing for breakfast everyday and not trying something new.

"You are so boring, you eat the same thing for breakfast everyday" I said.

"Well I am marrying you, aren't I?" I could feel the dirty look on my face and then he said "Kidding"

"Ya, you better be" I teased. After eating breakfast we went to the shoe store, for me of course, Shane didn't need new shoes. "How about these" I said as I picked up a pair of strappy heels. Even though I don't wear heels much I thought I should start so I told Shane that those were the shoes I wanted.

"Those are the shoes you want?" I nodded my head. "Okay, but I have no clue how you are going to walk in them."

"Give them to me and I will show you." After he gave them to me and I got them all strapped up, I stood up. I felt like I wasn't gonna tip over but I still had to try to walk in them. I took my first step and I didn't tip so I walked to the counter and back to Shane and I didn't feel the least bit wobbly.

"Wow, I thought you would fall on your face."

"Ya, so did I." When I took them off we went to pay for them. "I love these, I should wear them right now" I said.

"Ya, you should and they match your outfit perfectly."

"Okay." When we got to a bench we sat down and I put my heels on. There were a lot of straps and I had a bit of a hard time doing them up but I figured them out.

At around six o' clock we went to Montana's and surprisingly when we sat down my feet weren't killing me as they normally do after I wear heels, these ones were actually very comfortable. When we sat down we started to look at our menus and I decided to order the baked chicken penne and Shane was probably ordering their ribs. At that time the waitress was coming back with our drink orders, Shane had ordered a pepsi and I ordered a diet coke.

After she brought our drinks she took our food orders and I was right, Shane ordered ribs, like I said before such a party pooper. After we were done eating we went home and I went upstairs while Shane put our coats up. When he came up he started kissing me, when he stopped I asked "What was that for"

"You'll see" he said as he started kissing me again and pulling me onto the bed.

Chapter 1:My New Cafe

"Wow this is amazing" said my BFF Stella. "I can not believe you're starting your own cafe. Do you have any idea what you're gonna call it?"

"Ummm, I think maybe The Jewel Cafe."

"That is a great name, Allison."

My name is Allison and i just opened up my new cafe. My best friend is Stella, we've been friends since kindergarten. When we met we promised each other that we would be BFFs.

"Can i work at your cafe?" Stella asked.

"Ya, of course you can, I wouldn't have it any other way" I said. "I still have to hire two or three more employees though. It can't just be you and me."

"Thank you."

"Your welcome" I said.

"You know, you should hire two more people instead of three, just for now, you know until business picks up."

"You're right, three people is just to many." Later on I interviewed some people and two of them were perfect for working at my new cafe so I hired them as soon as their interview was done. The first person I hired was very into working and that is why I hired her, and her is is Violet. The second person I hired knew their coffee and he could bake as well, but then again so did Violet, anyways his name is Ian. Both of them are very reliable people.

The next morning I had to wake up early, like six o'clock early. I was not happy but if I wanted to be at my grand opening to my cafe then i had to get up early. When i got there a whole bunch of people were surrounding my cafe, I had to actually push my way through the people. Stella was already there with the scissors so I could cut the red ribbon after my speech.

"Hey, sorry I'm a bit late" I said.

"It's okay but lets get this show on the road" Stella said.

"Okay." So after I made my speech I cut the ribbon, opened the doors and walked in and everybody followed. When they came in they all were very amazed. My whole family was there and following behind them was my fiancé, Shane, and when he saw my cafe he came over to me and gave me a hug.

While he was giving me a hug he whispered "you are amazing and so is this cafe. I love it and I love you so much, more than my own life" he said.

Shane is a very great guy. He is my fiancé but we don't live together he is planning to move in tonight actually but I don't know if he is or isn't because of the cafe being opened today. When he was done hugging me I asked "are you moving in today?"

"Yes of course I am, why wouldn't I?" he asked back.

"I don't know I thought you wouldn't because of the cafe opening today" I said.

"That wouldn't stop me from spending the rest of my life with you, why would you think that?" he asked.

"I don't know I'm tired I'm not used to getting up early." I said.

"It's okay, you can sleep tonight after I comfort you when we watch a very scary movie" he teased. Let's make something clear, I hate scary movies but Shane still buys them so he can hold me.

"Shut up" I said.

After the cafe was closed I thanked all of my employees and we said our goodbyes. When I got in my car my IPhone rang and it was Shane. "Hey, whats up?" I asked.

"Hey, not much just calling to say that i have a surprise for when you come"

"Well I am coming home now so i will be there in five minutes"

"Okay I will see you when you get home"

"Ya" I said and then we both hung up. Five minutes later I pulled into my driveway. When I walked in the door Shane was stand in right there.

"Close your eyes he said so I did. From the way we moved around I had a feeling we were in the living room. "Open them" he said so I did and I was right we were in the living room and on the coffee table there was two plates full of bruchetta, garlic bread, and pizza. It look delicious.

"When did you make all of this" I asked.

"When I got here" he answered and the rest of the night we relaxed ate and then we went to bed.

Introduction

This blog is about a 28 year old girl (Allison) that just opened up a cafe in New York City, called The Jewel Cafe(part of the first chapter), but it's not all about her cafe. It is also about her life and all the drama that happens to her, maybe even some really big surprises.
